My hope for this blog is that it will provoke comment and discussion around what I still consider to be the key factor in business success; the management of people.
Over the coming months I hope that we can establish a sort of online self-help group of people who share my view of the importance of effective management, even if they differ on best practice.
In anticipation of my first full length post, let me offer this thought;
In the UK today you need a licence to drive a bus, fish for carp, watch a television or mind the door at a nightclub. You do not, however, require any licence at all to manage a workforce of any size.
Does this worry anyone other than me?........
